The focus of Hot Yoga at Yoga Tropics is to heal and maintain the physical body by balancing strength and flexibility, leading to a happier, healthier life. Our classes are designed to stimulate each organ, gland, muscle and system of the body through a comprehensive system of practical health-maintenance and disease prevention. A dedicated and consistent practice at Yoga Tropics will reverse the effects of aging, regulate metabolism, reduce the effects of stress and strain, and help to reduce chronic pain.
Hot 60
All Levels. Entry level class appropriate for beginners as well as continuing students. Consisting of approximately 26-30 postures and 2 breathing exercises in a room heated to 103*, the Tropics series derives from blending elements of Bikram hot yoga with Vinyasa sequencing. Every area of the body is addressed to restore optimal health and balance to the organs, tissues, and bones. Hot 90
All Levels. This class follows the same format as Tropics 60, but is extended to the traditional length of 90 min to allow for additional or alternative poses. The slower pace allows for deeper holds. Hot 90 is an excellent way to deepen your practice or to increase your endurance.
Vinyasa (warm)
The word vinyasa describes “breath synchronized movement”, with every inhalation and exhalation there is a movement of the body. Compared to Tropics classes (where there are a few pauses in between poses), vinyasa classes flow all the way through. Different each time depending on what the teacher choreographs, these very fun classes allow you to explore new transitions through poses, new ways to move, and what your body can do! Levels 1/2 are appropriate for beginners, Level 2/3 are appropriate for intermediate and advanced.
Yoga Sculpt (warm)
Hot Yoga Sculpt is a total body workout to tone and sculpt every major muscle group. The addition of hand held weights as you move through yoga poses enables you to build lean muscle mass, improve balance and boost metabolism even when resting. All Levels. 60 min. 90-98 degrees.
Yoga Barre (warm)
Yoga Barre is a complete body workout to tone buttocks, arms, thighs, and abdominals. Inspired by the revolutionary exercise routine of Russian ballerina, Lotte Burke and her orthopedist, Yoga Barre is a dynamic fusion of ballet, yoga, cardio and weightlifting which will improve your posture and give you a sculpted physique. All Levels. 60 min. 90 -98 degrees.
Family Yoga
Parents and kids of all ages (0-12) are welcome to enjoy this fun and energetic yoga flow! Collyn, Janeene and Andrea and often their kids! lead this fun class which allows families to experience yoga together. Only $5 per child
